2024 — Indoor – placed sixth in heptathlon with a collegiate-best 5,276 points at B1G Championships… that total ranks sixth all-time at Iowa… won heptathlon at Larry Wieczorek Invite (5,256 points), earning B1G Men’s Co-Field Event Athlete of the Week honors… won high jump (6-5, 1.96m) and placed second in 60-meter hurdles (8.32), pole vault (13-5 1/4, 4.10m) and 1,000 meters (2:51.50) as part of Larry Wieczorek Invite heptathlon… placed second in pentathlon at Jimmy Grant Invite (3,676 points)… posted collegiate-best 13-9 1/4 (4.20m) in pole vault at Hawkeye Invite and Iowa Open, and as part of B!G Championships hepathlon… Outdoor – posted collegiate-bests in 110-meter hurdles (14.67), javelin (119-2, 36.33m), and discus (120-11, 36.87m) at USF Alumni Invite.

2023 — Indoor – did not compete… Outdoor – won 100 meters (10.91), placed second in shot put (40-6 3/4 (12.36m), and placed third in high jump (6-4, 1.93m), 110-meter hurdles (14.88) and 400 meters (51.15) as part of USATF U20 decathlon.

 

High School — 10-time state track meet qualifier… five-time state track medalist in four different events (110-meter hurdles, high jump, shuttle hurdle relay, 400-meter relay)… helped tea, to fourth and seventh-place finishes at state track meet during his career… set school records in 110-meter hurdles (14.58), and as part of shuttle hurdle relay (59.7/13.5 split) and 400-meter relay (43.51)… coached by Bill Capaldo, Ben Zizis, Grant Rampton, Anthony Capaldo and Tim TeBrink… three-year all-district selection and second team all-state wide receiver in football… competed at the annual Shrine Bowl as a senior and was a Gold Honor Roll.

Personal — born June 29, 2004… parents are Chris Capaldo and Brenda Hummel… has two siblings – Andrea and Zach… open major.
