  • Leanne Lowry, 5-11 libero, Castle View (Castle Rock, Colorado) – First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State, Lowry was a huge factor in the Sabercats’ run to the Colorado large-class title in 2017. She set a school record for digs in a season with 736 and passed serve at a 2.67 clip while adding 48 aces. The school’s career digs leader, an Iowa recruit, has been an impact player for Castle View since arriving as a freshman. “She simply makes plays that most other players can’t,” said head coach Scott Dowis. “She is a very technically sound passer, which allowed us to be in system the vast majority of the time. At times she would take two-thirds or the court and our opponents would still try to avoid serving her! The best thing about Leanne is that she is a fantastic person off the court. She is a 4.0 student, a leader and great role model for the other girls in our program.”
  • Leanne Lowry, 5-11 libero, Castle View (Castle Rock, Colorado) – Lowry was the only freshman selected to the All-Continental League First Team. In 88 sets, she had a school-record 518 digs to go along with 45 aces, 372 serve receptions with only 16 reception errors and 48 assists. “Leanne has a great feel for the game,” Castle View coach Scott Dowis said. “Her ability to read and put herself in a position to make plays is far advanced for a player of her age.”
