Four-year football letterman playing linebacker and quarterback… Monticello advanced to the semifinals for the 2023 state playoffs and Round of 16 his freshman, sophomore and junior years…school career record holder in touchdowns (139), tackles (289.5), TFL (74), pass completions (458), passing yards (7,823), rushing yards (5,161) and total yards (12,984)… his total yardage in a career (12,984) is an all-time state of Iowa record… school single-season record holder in touchdowns (57), sacks (11.5), passing yards (2,594), rushing yards (1,926) and total yards (4,485)… passed for 2,559 yards and 24 touchdowns, rushed for 1,926 yards and 33 touchdowns, amassed 97 tackles — 27.5 for loss and five sacks — as a senior… passed for 2,543 yards and 24 touchdowns, rushed for 1,421 yards and 17 scores, collected 65 tackles — 21 for loss and 11 sacks — and an interception as a junior… passed for 2,594 yards and 20 touchdowns, rushed for 1,343 yards and 14 scores, recorded 68.5 tackles — 18 for loss and 8.5 sacks, and an interception — as a sophomore… earned four letters in basketball and track (sprints/long jump) and five letters in baseball (pitcher, outfield, first and third base).
