Iowa-Michigan State Set for ESPN Plus

Sept. 15, 2003

The 2003 Big Ten Conference season opener for Coach Kirk Ferentz’s nationally ranked Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday, Sept. 27, at Michigan State, will be televised live by ESPN Plus. Kickoff is set for shortly after 11 a.m. Iowa time.

The announcement means that the first seven games played by the 2003 Hawkeyes will be televised live. Iowa’s games against Michigan on Oct. 4 and at Ohio State on Oct. 18 have already been selected by ABC Sports for live television coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. Iowa time.

Iowa’s game Saturday, Sept. 20, against nationally ranked Arizona State will be televised live by ESPN 2. Game time is set for shortly after 5 p.m.

A limited number of tickets to the Iowa-Arizona State game are available via the web at www, via phone at 1-800 IA-HAWKS and in person at the Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.

Iowa’s game against Michigan — this year’s Homecoming game — has been announced a sellout. Tickets are also available for Iowa’s home games against Penn State, Illinois and Minnesota.
