For the second consecutive year, Iowa senior tennis player StuartWaters (Omaha, NE) has been selected to the all-Big Ten team. The announcement came todayfrom the Big Ten Conference.
In his second season playing at the No. 1 singles position, Waters posted a dual record of11-6, including a 4-6 record in Big Ten play. He also led the Hawkeyes in winning percentage(.647).
Waters excelled in doubles competition, teaming with senior Hunter Skogman to postan overall record of 12-6 and a Big Ten dual record of 6-4 at the No. 1 position. Waters finishedhis doubles career with 44 dual meet wins to rank 10th in school history. He is the only player inthe top 10 to have played every collegiate doubles match at the No. 1 position.
Waters is the 29th all-Big Ten men’s tennis selection in school history and the 15th Iowamen’s tennis athlete to receive this honor. Bruce Nagel and Rod Kubat were Iowa’s firstselections in 1973.
