Iowa No. 16 on AP List

Oct. 20, 2003

This week’s AP Top 25

Coach Kirk Ferentz’s 2003 Iowa Hawkeyes are ranked 16th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25, matching their place in the weekly ESPN/USA Today list.

Iowa will make its third straight appearance on ABC-TV Saturday when the Hawkeyes entertain Penn State.

The Hawkeyes will look to rebound from their loss at Ohio State last Saturday when they entertain Penn State inside legendary Kinnick Stadium later this week. Game time is set for shortly after 11 a.m. with live television coverage being provided by ABC-TV.

Iowa is one of six Big Ten teams included in the AP list. Ohio State (8th), Purdue (10th), Michigan State (11th), Michigan (13th) and Wisconsin (20th) join the Hawkeyes. Oklahoma and Miami, Fla., are ranked one and two, respectively.

A very limited number of tickets are available for this week’s game. Those that are available were returned to the UI Athletic Department last week by Penn State. Click HERE if you’d like to purchase Iowa football tickets online.
