Tonight’s win was Iowa’s second straight over Michigan. In addition, the Hawkeyes have won a season-best three straight games.Iowa allowed Michigan to collect 48 rebounds, 23 of which were offensive. The 48 rebounds are a season high for an Iowa opponent.Senior Kristi Faulkner played a season-low 23 minutes due to early foul trouble in the first half. Faulkner finished with six points and five rebounds. She failed to make at least one triple for only the second time this year.Jennie Lillis posted team highs in points (15) and rebounds (8). She also collected two assists and two steals. Her eight rebounds move her past Randi Peterson and into sixth place on Iowa’s career rebounding chart. Lillis is ther only Hawkeye to score in double figures in every game this season.Iowa improves to 8-0 when leading at the half and holding opponents to 69 points or less.The Hawkeyes converted 13-29 (44.8%) from the field in both the first and second half.Crystal Smith came off the bench and scored eight points and registered a game-high four steals. The sophomore has collected 14 steals (3.5) in the last four games.Michigan made only 5-28 (17.9%) of its 3-point attempts in the contest. Iowa’s last two opponents combined for 7-41 (17.1%) from beyond the arc.Iowa remained perfect in home conference games (4-0).Jamie Cavey scored 14 points against the Wolverines. In the process, she scored her 500th career point.
