Iowa to Host Annual Field Hockey Camp

IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa Field Hockey team will host its annual summer camp this July 11-14. Registration is open is open for any interested players of high school age (those entering 9th grade through seniors).

The camp will be led by the Iowa coaching staff: Head Coach Tracey Griesbaum and assistants Lisa Cellucci and Carla Tagliente.

Griesbaum is a fixture on the United States Field Hockey scene, and was named the 2000 USFHA National Coach of the Year. She has coached countless national teams, including the 2000 U.S. Under-21 Team, 1998-2000 U.S. Under-23 Team and the 1996 U.S. Under-18 Team. Griesbaum was the assistant coach on the U.S. Senior National Team in 2000, as well as a member from 1989-91, and again in 1993. She has also been a coach at A-Camp every year since 1995.

Cellucci was a U.S. National Team member in 1999 and 2000, and has also coached at A and B-Camp. Taglilente was a member of the U.S. National Team from 1997-2003 and was a head coach at the U.S. National Team Clinics from 2000-01.

Cost of the four-day camp is $350 per camper. Team Discount price (10 from same high school) is $300 per camper, while Family Discount (two from same family) is also $300 per camper.
