The elevator at Carver-Hawkeye Arena will not be in operation for Saturday’s home men’s basketball game beween Coach Steve Alford’s Iowa Hawkeyes and Michigan. Game time inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena is set for 1:30 p.m.
A mechanical problem with the building’s only elevator, located adjacent to the Athletic Ticket Office inside the North Entrance of Iowa’s award-winning basketball facility, has forced its shutdown until further notice. UI Athletic Department staff said the problem will not be corrected until sometime next week.
The UI Athletic Department will have staff available to assist patrons who typically use the elevator to access seats located near the playing floor.
Questions or concerns about tickets or seating should be directed to the UI Athletic Ticket Office located at the north entrance of the Arena. Fans can also call the ticket office at (319)335-9309.
