The Iowa women’s tennis team narrowly defeated Minnesota, 4-3, Saturday afternoon. The Hawkeyes move to 5-2 overall, 1-0 in the Big Ten.

In doubles, Iowa won every match to take the point. Anastasia Zhukova moved up to the No. 3 spot and defeated Ida Malmberg, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4. At the No. 5 spot, senior Deni Alexandrova won against Emily Bezek 6-1, 6-1. Hilary Tyler dominated Megan Steiger at the No. 6 spot, 6-0, 6-0.

The Hawkeyes will compete tomorrow against Montana beginning at 11 a.m.
