NCAA and NIT Ticket Plans

Should Coach Steve Alford’s Iowa Hawkeyes be extended an invitation to participate in the 2004 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament on Sunday, the UI Athletic Department will announce its ticket plan after it learns of the exact time, day and location of the Hawkeyes’ first round game.

Should Coach Steve Alford’s Iowa Hawkeyes not be extended on Sunday an invitation to participate in the 2004 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament and instead accepts an invitation to participate in the 2004 National Invitation Tournament, and host a first-round game inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the UI Athletic Department will implement the following ticketing plans.

If an NIT game involving Iowa is played
on Monday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena…

Tickets will cost $10 for current UI students, $20 for non-current UI students.

Tickets will be “General Admission” with seat locations available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, at the Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Tickets will also be available at Ticketmaster outlets across the state of Iowa. Tickets purchased at Ticketmaster will carry an additional ticket surcharge.

If NIT games involving Iowa are played on any
days other than Monday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena…

Tickets will be available over the phone at 1-800 IA-HAWKS, in person at the UI Athletic Ticket Office located in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and at the online ticket office inside hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Tickets will also be available at Ticketmaster outlets across the state of Iowa. Tickets purchased at Ticketmaster will carry an additional ticket surcharge.
