This Week: The Iowa women’s tennis team travels to No. 18 Notre Dame Thursday. Competition will take place at Eck Tennis Pavilion beginning at 4 p.m.

In the Rankings: The Hawkeyes are 44th in the ITA Rankings. The rankings are voted on by every member of the ITA Regional Committee.

The Fighting Irish: The Fighting Irish are 7-4 this season. Losses occurred against No. 6 Duke, No. 17 Michigan, No. 22 Illinois and No. 36 Tennessee. Notre Dame has wins over No. 21 BYU, No. 24 Indiana, No. 39 Ohio State, No. 40 Virginia Commonwealth, No. 66 Boston College, No. 68 Virginia Tech and No. 71 Wisconsin. Notre Dame’s Alicia Salas is ranked 13th in the nation, while freshman Catrina Thompson is 84th. In doubles, Thompson, along with twin sister Christian, are ranked 37th.

Last Time Out: The Hawkeyes competed last against Kansas and Missouri. Iowa beat Kansas, 6-1 and two days later came from behind to defeat Missouri, 4-3.
