Three Gymnasts Named All-Big Ten

Hawkeyes Stephanie Gran, Alexis Maday and Kortny Williamson were named to all-Big Ten teams following this weekend’s Big Ten Championships. Gran and Maday were honored as first team, while Williamson was given second team honors.

At the Big Ten Championships, Gran placed second in the all-around with a score of 39.525. She also finished second on vault (9.95). Gran has been honored as Big Ten Gymnast of the Week twice. She is nationally-ranked 19th in the all-around, tied for 12th on vault and tied for 24th on floor.

Maday was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Year. She collected five Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honors throughout the season. At the Big Ten Championships, Maday was crowned vault and floor champion. Maday also tied for fourth on bars. Nationally, Maday is ranked tied for second on bars, eighth on floor, ninth in the all-around and tied for 16th on vault.

Williamson tied for 14th on vault and 13th on floor at the Big Ten Championships. She recorded career-highs on vault (9.95), beam (9.825) and floor (9.925) this season. Williamson is nationally-ranked tied for 25th on vault.
