OAK RIDGE, TN — The University of Iowa women’s rowing team completed the final day of competition in the 2004 Lexus Central/South Sprints. The Hawkeyes had three boats in the Petite Finals and one in the C Level Finals.
Iowa finished tenth overall, and seventh in the central region. Virginia won the Central/South sprints with 404 points. Ohio State won the central region with 391 points.
Iowa’s First Varsity Four won the C Level finals with a time of 8:08.2. The First Novice Eight defeated Cincinnati to capture the win in the Petite Finals with a time of 8:24.5. Iowa’s Second Varsity Eight crossed the finish line with a time of 7:09.1, putting them in sixth place. The First Varsity Eight finished fourth with a time of 6:54.4 in the Petite Finals.
