MEET THE STAFF
Andrew Carter was named the third head coach in program history for the University of Iowa rowing program in July 2013.
During his coaching career, Carter has earned more than 50 championship medals, and over the last 15 years, he has coached nine All-Americans and 47 National Scholar-Athletes. Before becoming a Hawkeye, he turned Miami into a nationally-ranked program, and led Clemson to its first-ever Atlantic Coast Conference title and NCAA Championship appearance.
Carter is joined by assistant coaches Jeff Garbutt, Megan Fitzpatrick, Natasia Giles, and graduate assistant Cristy Hartman.
Offices for the staff of the women’s rowing program at the University of Iowa are located on the third level of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, the University of Iowa’s award-winning basketball facility. Metered public parking is located in University Lot 46, located immediately west of the facility. Upon arrival, visitors should enter Carver-Hawkeye Arena at the North Entrance and take either the elevator or the stairs to the third level.
Members of the public are welcome to observe a practice session from one of the coach’s motorboats. If you are interested in watching a practice, please contact Jack Rossi (firstname.lastname@example.org). Practice observation opportunities are dependent on the team’s practice schedule and space availability.
