The University of Iowa field hockey team has earned the 2025 NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
Eight University of Iowa field hockey student-athletes – Kaia Beaudoin, Jordan Byers, Niamh de Jong, Lauren DeRose, Téa Fortpied, McKenna Panko, Peyton Shellaway, and Milly Short – have been named National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholars of Distinction, it was announced Friday by the NFHCA.
Seventeen University of Iowa field hockey student-athletes have been named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I National Academic Squad.

Van Aalsum and Van Cleef Named NFHCA All-Americans
University of Iowa field hockey junior Dionne van Aalsum and graduate student Fréderique van Cleef were named National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Americans, it was announced Tuesday by the NFHCA.
100 Hawkeyes Named Fall Academic All-Big Ten
One hundred University of Iowa student-athletes have been named to the 2025 Big Ten Fall Academic All-Conference team. The list includes student-athletes from men’s cross country (7), women’s cross country (10), field hockey (13), football (43), women’s soccer (17) and volleyball (10).
