The softball team recorded two come-from-behind wins on Saturday, upending Samford (3-2) and UConn (10-9), on JoAnne Graf Field. Iowa improved to 3-1 overall after day two of the JoAnne Graf Classic.
The University of Iowa softball team split day one at the JoAnne Graf Classic on Friday. Iowa defeated Samford, 9-1 (five innings), before falling to No. 7 Florida State, 12-3 (five innings).
The University of Iowa softball team travels to Tallahassee, Florida, to kickoff the 2026 season at the JoAnne Graf Classic. The Hawkeyes open with matchups against Samford and Florida State on Friday at 2 and 4 p.m. (CT). Iowa will take on Samford and UConn on Saturday at 9 and 11:30 a.m. and Marshall on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. All games will be played at JoAnne Graf Field.

Three University of Iowa softball student-athletes – junior Leah McAnally, freshman Mariah Myers and senior Serayah Neiss — have been named to the 2026 Big Ten Softball Players to Watch list, it was announced Thursday by the conference.

Iowa head softball coach Stacy May-Johnson released details of the Hawkeyes’ 47-game regular season on Thursday. The 2026 slate features 19 games at Bob Pearl Field with the first home game scheduled for March 20.
