The University of Iowa cross country team wrapped up the 2025 season Friday morning at the NCAA Midwest Regional at the Greiner Family OSU Cross Country Course. Sophomore Elena Torres led the women’s squad, while redshirt sophomore Luke Knepp paced the Hawkeye men. The men finished 15th with 430 points, and the women placed 16th with 424 points.

Sophomore Elena Torres crossed the line first for the Hawkeye women, while senior Hayden Kuhn led the men’s team. Both teams finished 14th in their respective races, with the women taking home 410 points and the men earning 415 points.

Magallan Wins 3rd B1G Freshman Of The Week
University of Iowa freshman Ella Magallan was named the Big Ten Women’s Cross Country Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. It is the third time this year that Magallan has earned the award. She previously claimed the distinction on Sept. 10 after placing eighth at the Hawkeye Invite and on Oct. 8 after her performance at the Joe Piane Invite.
Montgomery, Torres Lead Hawkeyes at Pre-National Invitational
Iowa cross country wrapped up the regular season at the Pre-Nationals Invitational on the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Friday morning. Sophomores Kyle Montgomery and Elena Torres led the Hawkeyes in their respective races.
