HEAR FROM COACH HASENBANK
“Hillary (Trainor) and Kyle (Montgomery) definitely had their best day as Hawkeyes. I was pleased with Kyle and Luke (Knepp), as they took some risks and established themselves early, and that led to good results. More importantly, they competed well. Will (Ryan) and Eli (Arbuckle) ran solid races. Reed Robbins continues to impress me and is handling the 8k distance well. Hillary had a fantastic race. She got out well and established herself in the top 30 and just kept grinding. She is gaining confidence with every race. Solid races from Miriam and Elena, as well. Claire ran her best 6k with Avery just behind her in the five spot for us.”
Up Next: The Hawkeyes turn their attention to the Big Ten Championships on Oct. 30 in Madison, Wisconsin.
