The Hawkeyes hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Arkansas Invitational. Competition begins Friday at noon with field events. Action on the track starts at 12:45 p.m.
Johnson Soars to National Lead at Hawkeye Invite Opener
IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa junior thrower Ryan Johnson became the fourth-best weight thrower in NCAA Division I history on Friday at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex. Johnson fired a 24.85-meter throw to move into the DI lead and update Iowa’s school record.

The Hawkeyes continue the 2026 indoor track and field campaign on Friday and Saturday, hosting the Hawkeye Invitational. Competition begins on both days at Noon (CT). Weight throw and shot put will be on Friday at the HTRC. Field and running events make up Saturday's schedule at the Hawkeye Indoor Track Facility.
