Former Hawkeye and five-time All-American Jacob Warner has joined the program’s coaching staff as a temporary assistant coach.
The University of Iowa wrestling team finished the 2025-26 season with a 11-6 overall record and a 4-3 Big Ten mark. The Hawkeyes placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships and fourth at the NCAA Championships. Iowa had seven All-Americans. The program had 12 Academic All-Big Ten selections.
Four Iowa wrestlers — Drake Ayala, Ryder Block, Angelo Ferrari and Patrick Kennedy — were named 2026 National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I Scholar All-Americans.

Caliendo Finishes as NCAA Runner-Up, Hawkeyes Fourth as a Team
Iowa wrestler Michael Caliendo finished as the NCAA runner-up at 165 pounds on Saturday night at the 2026 NCAA Championships. Iowa finished fourth in the team race with 92.5 points bringing home a team trophy for the 50th time in program history.
7 Hawkeyes Earn All-America Honors
Six Iowa wrestlers — Drake Ayala (133), Ryder Block (149), Patrick Kennedy (174), Angelo Ferrari (184), Gabe Arnold (197) and Ben Kueter (285) — capped their 2026 NCAA Championships runs as All-Americans.
