Hawkeyes, now’s your chance to make a real impact – on lives and on our school
Abbott and the Big Ten Conference are hosting a nationwide blood donation competition to fight shortages, inspire new donors, and save lives. This is your chance to show that you bleed black and yellow.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a transfusion, including trauma victims, mothers experiencing complications after childbirth and people receiving cancer treatment. Your donation could make a life-saving difference and help Iowa win a $1 million prize to support student or community health.
How do you help the Hawkeyes get to #1?
- Donate at any blood drive or blood center anywhere in the U.S. between Aug. 27 – Dec. 5. After donating, visit BigTen.org/Abbott/Iowa to upload proof of your donation and select University of Iowa to make sure your contribution counts for the Hawkeyes.
- If Iowa receives the most donations from students, alumni and fans, the university will be awarded $1 million from Abbott to support student or community health initiatives.
Let’s come together, Hawkeyes -- roll up your sleeves, give blood, and show the nation what black and gold pride really means. Every drop counts for our community and our school!
