Emma Dabinett

In her first season with the Hawkeyes, Dabinett guided Iowa’s Varsity Eight to Boat of the Week honors for the fourth year in a row. In the strongest performance of the season, Iowa won six of seven races on the second day of the Kansas Double Duel. In the expanded B1G Championship format, three Iowa boats recorded finishes above their initial seeding.

Dabinett joined the Iowa Rowing coaching staff in 2024 as a graduate assistant.

She is a three-time First Team All-Big Ten selection, three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and was named a CRCA All-American in 2023. Dabinett was the first Hawkeye rowing member to be named an All-American since 2019. She was also picked for the 2023 U23 Great Britain Women’s Eight (W8+) squad.

Dabinett was on Iowa’s Varsity Eight for all four seasons where her squad won Big Ten Boat of the Week on three occasions.

A Bracknell, England native, Dabinett is the daughter of Jackie and John Dabinett. She also studied human physiology at the University of Iowa as an undergrad.
