Kirk Talks Michigan State

Sept. 28, 2004

Progress. It was made between games three and four for the 2004 Iowa Hawkeyes and Kirk Ferentz told the media assembled Tuesday for his weekly chat that he’ll be expecting more again this Saturday when Iowa squares off against Michigan State inside historic Kinnick Stadium.

A very limited number of tickets are available for Saturday’s Homecoming game against Michigan State.

Game time for this year’s Homecoming game against the Spartans is set for shortly after 11 a.m. The contest will be televised live by ESPN Plus…but Hawk fans can “turn down the sound” and listen to Gary, Ed and “Rob-O” on the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Fans of the Spartans and Hawkeyes can expect a good game, too, because history says so: The Hawkeyes hold an 18-17-2 advantage in the series. Iowa will also be looking to extend a 14-game winning streak inside Kinnick when it takes to the turf for the third of six home games in 2004.

And, if your weekend plans include a trip to Kinnick, consider riding the Hawkeye Express to and from the game.
