IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa rowing team competed at the Head of the Rock regatta last weekend in Moline, IL.
The highest Hawkeye finish was in the Open Pairs, where the Iowa A boat placed third with at time of 18:30.28. The Hawkeyes also took places 5-8 in the race with times of 18:42.57 (Iowa B), 19:00.53 (Iowa C), 19:04.65 (Iowa D) and 19:51.43 (Iowa E).
In the Open Women’s 8, the Iowa A took ninth place with a time of 16:30.71, while the Iowa A boat took 14th in the Novice Women’s 8. In the Open 4+, Iowa took 16th with a time of 18:53.32.
The Hawkeyes will return to action October 23-24, at the Head of the Charles in Boston, MA.
