Halloween Hoops Slated for Sunday

Oct. 28, 2004

The second annual Halloween Hoops, featuring Coach Steve Alford’s 2004-05 men’s basketball team, will be held Sunday, Oct. 31 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

Kids of all ages – – most notably those younger in age and looking for as many opportunities as possible to wear their Halloween costume – – are invited to Carver-Hawkeye Arena at 5 p.m. for a devilish good time with the Hawkeye basketball squad and coaching staff.

Halloween Hoops is open to all Hawkeye fans. Attendees will be able to watch practice, take a tour of the Iowa locker room and weight training room, and get a photo and autograph of their favorite student-athletes and coaches.

The event is free and will feature gifts upon entry and the chance to win Hawkeye t-shirts and more, including a chance to win courtside seats for select men’s basketball games for the best costume to make its way into Carver.

Children of all ages are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costume. Free candy will be distributed as well.

Fans attending the event must enter at the west entrance of Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
