Hawk Talk with Steve Alford, the weekly radio call-in show of Iowa’s head men’s basketball coach, is opening the 2004-05 season on the road.
Hawk Talk with Steve Alford will originate from Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Cafe on Merla Hay Road in Des Moines on Monday, Nov. 29. Host Gary Dolphin will be joined by his Hawkeye Radio Network sidekick live at 6 p.m.
The Iowa Hawkeyes will square off against Drake on Nov. 30 inside the Knapp Center. Alford, who will be busy preparing for the annual battle with one of Iowa’s longest in-state rivals, will appear via telephone during the 90-minute look inside the Iowa’s men’s basketball program.
Hawk Talk with Steve Alford will return to its home — Carlos O’Kelly’s in Iowa City the following Monday.
