Hawkeyes Win Illinois Quadrangular

The Iowa GymHawks won the Illinois Quadrangular with a season-high 194.025, defeating Illinois, Illinois-Chicago and Illinois State.

On beam, the Hawkeyes dominated competition. Danielle Legeai won her second beam title of the season, scoring a season-high 9.775 for the win. Annie Rue and Kortny Williamson tied for second (9.750), and Ally Zipse tied for fourth (9.725). On vault, Natalie Padilla and Williamson shared top honors, scoring 9.825s to win the event. Williamson also tied for third on floor with Zipse (9.775). Liz Grajewski finished the night with a second-place finish in the all-around (38.550).

Iowa will next compete Friday, February 11 at the Hearts Invitational in Raleigh, NC.
