IOWA CITY, IA –

The 49th-ranked Iowa women’s tennis team dominated 37th-ranked Indiana, 7-0. The Hawkeyes improve to 12-7 overall, 6-2 in the Big Ten.

Iowa started strong with doubles, winning two matches. Anastasia Zhukova and Hilary Tyler continued their dominant performance, defeating Laura McGaffigan and Brianna Williams, 8-5. The duo now holds a 14-1 record. Hillary Mintz and Jacqueline Lee won against Cecile Perton and Dora Vastag at the No. 3 spot, 8-5. Meg Racette and Milica Veselinovic lost a heartbreaker to Sarah Batty and Dominika Walterova, 8-7 (3).

At No. 1 singles, Racette upset 101st-ranked Dora Vastag in straight sets, 6-4, 6-0. Next off the court was Zhukova with an incredible performance against McGaffigan, winning 6-3, 6-0. Jacqueline Lee clinched the Hawkeye victory with a win over Williams, 6-1, 6-3. Veselinovic lost her first set to Walterova, but came back, 2-6, 6-1, 6-3. At the No. 6 spot, Tyler downed Perton, 7-6 (4), 6-4.

The Hawkeyes return to action April 23 when they travel to Illinois.
