THIS WEEK — The Iowa Men’s Golf team will be at the Bruce Fossum Invitational in East Langsing, MI, on Saturday and Sunday. The two-day event will consist of 15 teams, which includes eight Big Ten teams. The conference teams Iowa will compete against are Indiana, Illinois, Ohio State, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, and host team Michigan State.

The teams wil play 36 holes Saturday and 18 Sunday. The tournament will be held at Forest Akers West Golf Course (Par 72). Live scoring will be available and you can follow the tournament leaderboard Sunday at www.msuspartans.com.

LAST WEEK — The 2005 Kepler Intercollegiate was cancelled because of inclement weather. Heavy rain and snowy conditions were the deciding factors to cancel the event in Columbus, Ohio.

MILLER OUT OF LINEUP — Junior Luke Miller will miss another tournament. He missed his first tournament of the season at the Boilermaker Invitational due to a sprained ankle. Miller currently leads the team with 73.9 strokes per round average. He is expected back for the Big Ten Championships on May 6-8.

HEAD COACH Terry Anderson — Anderson is in his 12th year as Iowa’s head coach. Anderson was a four-year letterman at Iowa State. He also serves as the Director of Golf at Iowa’s Finkbine Golf Course. He was named the PGA Golf Professional of the Year for the Iowa PGA Section in 1998 and 2004.
