IOWA CITY, IA – Three members of the University of Iowa women’s swimming team have been named to the College Swim Coaches Academic All-America team. Jennifer Skolaski and Nancilea Underwood earned honors while Karen Kelly earned Honorable Mention honors.
Both the Iowa men’s and women’s teams were also named top Academic Teams.
To earn Academic All-America status, student-athletes must earn a minimum of a 3.5 GPA and qualify for the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA championships. Student-athletes with a 3.5 GPA who earn NCAA `B’ times are eligible for Academic All-America honorable mention status.
