Iowa forward Greg Brunner came off the bench to grab 16 rebounds Tuesday, helping the USA defeat China 117-61 at the World University Games in Izmir, Turkey. The USA team (4-0) returns to action Wednesday against the Czech Republic.

Brunner, a senior from Charles City, had five offensive rebounds and 11 defensive boards. He added seven points and a steal. Brunner, in four games, has totaled 16 points, 24 rebounds and three steals.

Six USA players scored in double figures in the win over China, with reserve Eric Hicks (Cincinnati) leading the way with 24 points.

The World University Games quarter-finals are Thursday, the semi-finals Friday and the championship game is Sunday.
