Three Times the Fun

Oct. 7, 2005

Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes who have also subscribed to Hawkeye Al-Access, the multi-media area of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes will have a triple feature of sorts to enjoy today as they begin to their preparations for Saturday’s game between Iowa and Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind.

First, The Brooks Brothers – actually, father Bob Brooks and son, Rob – take a look at the game from their unique perspectives, the former tempered by years of experience, the latter fueled with youthful optimism.

Then, Gary Dolphin, the radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the host for Iowa Football with Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Football Replay Show, takes a peek at the game in today’s installment of Inside Iowa.

Lastly, eastern Iowa funny man Tim Boyle tips his fedora in the direction of the crew that is working on the renovation of historic Kinnick Stadium and takes a closer look at the new scoreboard that looms large at Kinnick’s southern edge.

Game time Saturday is set for 3:30 p.m. Iowa time. Please note that the time is, in fact, 3:30 p.m. Iowa time and not 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by ESPN after it concludes coverage of Major League Baseball’s Divisional Series coverage, hence, the “non-traditional” start time.
