Gary Now, Gary Later

Oct. 8, 2005

Hear it straight from the top…of the press box, that is.

The radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Gary Dolphin, offers his extended look at today’s Iowa-Purdue football game in this week’s installment of “The View from the Press Box” inside Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media page of hawkeyesports.com.

BLACK OUT SATURDAY

Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes are encouraged to wear black on Saturday, Oct. 22, when the Hawkeyes entertain Michigan in the first-ever ‘Black Out Saturday” event at the UI.

The Hawkeyes and the Boilermakers tee it up at 3:30 p.m. Iowa time inside Ross-Ade Stadium on the Purdue campus in West Lafayette, Ind. The game will be televised live by ESPN. Fans can also listen to the Gary, Ed Podolak and Rob Brooks call the game for the Hawkeye Radio Network by clicking HERE.

Iowa will be seeking its first road victory of the 2005 season and game No. 6 of each season has proven to be a winner for the Hawkeyes under Kirk Ferentz. Iowa has won its sixth game of the season in each of the last five years. A victory today would push Iowa’s overall record to 4-2 and its Big Ten Conference mark to 2-1 heading into next week’s Parents Day game against Indiana inside historic Kinnick Stadium.
