The awards program honoring the 2005 Iowa football team next Saturday (Dec. 10th) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena has been opened to the public. A $10 ticket will be sold at the door for only the awards portion of the banquet. The tickets will go on sale at the Arena ticket office beginning at 6:15 p.m. next Saturday.
The actual awards program will begin at 6:45 p.m. The voice of the Hawkeyes, Gary Dolphin, will emcee the event. The entire Iowa team and coaching staff will be present for the event. Numerous awards, including the team’s most valuable player award will be given out.
The Hawkeyes finished the 2005 season with a 7-4 regular season record and await word on a bowl destination. Iowa’s bowl site will be announced Sunday afternoon.
