Current University of Iowa students can now purchase single-game tickets to any of the remaining home games of the 2005-06 Iowa men’s basketball team including tickets to the eight games scheduled against Big Ten Conference opponents.
Single-game tickets cost just $15 for current UI students. Approximately 300 tickets for Iowa’s four Big Ten home games against Illinois, Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin to be played on Saturdays are available for purchase by UI students.
Tickets are also available for current UI students for Iowa’s games against Minnesota, Indiana, Michigan State and Penn State that are schedule on weekdays.
The Hawkeyes’ games against Indiana and Michigan State both are slated for live television coverage by ESPN. The UI’s game against the Hoosiers has been designed “The Gold Rush Game” – the UI basketball program’s equivalent to the Iowa football program’s “Black Out Saturday” event. All fans attending the Iowa-Indiana game are encouraged to wear gold to show their support of the 2005-06 Hawkeyes.
“It’s very possible if not likely that six of the eight games we will play in Carver this Big Ten season will reach sellout status before the start of the league season.”

“It’s very possible if not likely that six of the eight games we will play in Carver this Big Ten season will reach sellout status before the start of the league season,” said David Sandstrum, the UI’s director of ticket operations.

These are three of the four games that were designated “Youth Basketball Days” earlier this year by the department.
