Can’t swing a trip to Tampa to follow the Hawkeyes to the 2006 Outback Bowl? Well, the next best thing to being there is to spend some time with Gary Dolphin, Rob Brooks and Kevin Dolan.
They’ll kick off live coverage of Iowa’s fourth straight January bowl game with Iowa Heart Center Hawkeye Bowl Preview Show presented by Mediacom and live from Stump’s Supper Club in Channelside.
This 90-minute special will be broadcast live by affiliates the Hawkeye Radio Network beginning at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29. The show will also be simulcast live by Mediacom on its Connections channel and on the world wide web inside Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media page of hawkeyesports.com.
The Hawkeye Radio Network will also be live on game day, providing its award-winning play-by-play coverage. Mediacom will also provide a one-hour live pre-game show from immediately outside Raymond James Stadium on game day. That programming will be available exclusively on Mediacom Connections and on the web inside Hawkeye All-Access.
“We’ll have close to 25,000 fans of the Hawkeyes in Tampa by the end of the week. And, for those fans who can’t get here to enjoy the fun, we’re going to bring the excitement to them,” said Rick Klatt, the UI’s associate athletics director for external affairs.
