EVANSTON, IL – The Iowa women’s tennis team competed today in day three of the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Northwestern University. The Hawkeyes swept New Mexico in doubles competition.
Junior Meg Racette teamed with sophomore Jacqueline Lee to get the Hawkeyes’ first win over New Mexico. They defeated Maja Kovacek and Ola Abou-Zerky, 8-5. Junior Hillary Mintz and sophomore Milica Veselinovic defeated Iva Gersic and Lucy Scott, 9-8 (7-1). Freshmen Kayla Berry and Krissy Dowlin defeated Nora Quintal and Jennifer Ryba, 8-2.
The Hawkeyes will finish competition tomorrow when they face Florida State University in singles.
