Big Ten Tournament Single-Session Tickets on Sale Saturday

PARK RIDGE, IL – The chance to get in on the 2006 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament action is here. The Big Ten Conference and Indiana Sports Corporation announced today that single-session tickets for the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 4, at 9 a.m. (CST).

Single-session tickets for the event range from $10-$14. Tickets can be purchased through any Ticketmaster outlet, Ticketmaster charge-by-phone numbers (317-239-5151 in central Indiana), www.ticketmaster.com and the Conseco Fieldhouse box office.

The tournament will be held March 2-6 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. No tournament games will take place on Saturday, March 4 due to the IHSAA Girl’s State Basketball Finals.

The Big Ten is again one of the premier conferences in NCAA women’s basketball. Last season, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State and Purdue advanced to the NCAA Tournament, with the Spartans concluding their season in the national championship game. This week, the Big Ten has four teams ranked in the Top 20. Ohio State is ranked No. 7, followed by No. 8 Purdue, No. 12 Minnesota and No. 17 Michigan State.

In addition, fans can still purchase tickets to the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament that will take place the weekend following the women’s event, March 9-12, at Conseco Fieldhouse. Tickets are available at any Ticketmaster location, Ticketmaster charge by phone, www.ticketmaster.com and the Conseco Fieldhouse box office.
