Gary Dolphin talks about the Hawkeyes’ winning the marathon known as the Big Ten Conference men’s basketball regular season championship in this week’s installment of his “View from the Press Box.”
The Voice of the Hawkeyes compares Steve Alford’s nationally ranked team to the 1985 Chicago Bears – both squads are mentally tough and physically tough. He also peeks ahead to today’s game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in The Barn in what will be a truly frozen Minneapolis (game time temperatures will likely be near or below zero).
“On paper this is a game Iowa should win,” says Dolph, before adding, “but we all know on paper and on the road are two entirely different scenarios.
