OAKLAND, CA – The seventh-ranked University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team came in fifth Saturday at the Pacific Coast Classic in Oakland, CA. The Hawkeyes beat #11 Minnesota (206.575) and #12 William and Mary (200.2). Iowa final score was 207.2.

Michael Reavis came in a tie for third on floor exercise (9.45) and fifth in the all-around scoring 51.650. Curtis Kleffman scored a 49.7 to come in sixth in the all-around and Matt Beiler came in 11th scoring a 43.1.

On pommel horse, Kleffman led the Hawkeyes with a score of 8.95 to come in third. Jacob Becker placed 11th (8.4) and Reavis came in a tie for 17th (8.1). Matt Beiler came in ninth on rings with a 9.2.

The Hawkeyes host Illinois on Sunday in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Competition is set to begin at 2 p.m.
