HILTON HEAD, SC – In its first tournament since October the Iowa Men’s Golf team finished the first round of the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate in fifteenth place. The second round was postponed until tomorrow due to darkness and will be completed tomorrow. It was a tough day for most golfers, only five golfers in the entire tournament finished par or better in the first round.
Junior John Feldick (+3, T11) was the only Hawkeye to break out of hibernation and finished the first round in a tie for 11th place. Other golfers Todd Larson (+8, T46), Andy Tiedt (+10, T57), Cole Peevler (+13, T69) and Bennett Hammerberg (+13, T69) will hope to get back on track and improve their scores tomorrow. The Hawkeyes will finish the last of the second round and the third and final round of the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate tomorrow beginning at 8:00 a.m.
