Hey, mom and dad! Now is the time to register your young Hawkeye for participation in the 2006 Iowa Basketball Summer Camps to be staged on the University of Iowa campus in June and July.
Aspiring boys basketball players have three choices: The Elite Camp for students entering grades 10 through college freshman. That camp is scheduled for June 3-4.
Boys ages 10 through 17 can join UI Coach Steve Alford, members of his staff and many current and former Iowa Hawkeyes the week of July 9-13. Boys ages 10 and/or entering the 9th grade may choose the camp scheduled for July 16-20.
Resident and commuter options are available. Each session includes current and former Hawkeyes as camp counselors, outstanding lectures and instruction from Alford and members of the Iowa basketball staff, four full-court games daily with players of similar ability and of the same age group, special awards presented at the home of the Hawkeyes, award-winning Carver-Hawkeye Arena and more.
