HUNTINGTON, WV – The Iowa men’s golf team completed the final day of the Marshall Invitational and finished in eighth place. The Hawkeyes moved up one spot from Friday and carded a third round score of 293 (+9). Iowa had a total tournament score of 887 (+35) and failed to place in the top five of a tournament for the second consecutive competition.
Senior and team co-captain Brian deBuhr (+3, T6) captured his second top 10 finish of the season and second in a row. His second round score of 70 (-1) tied a season and career low. Jon Feldick (+10, T31) was in the top 10 going into the final round, but he struggled shooting a 78 (+7). Andy Tiedt (+12 T41), Todd Larson (+14, T50), and Cole Peevler (+18, T69) also competed for the Hawkeyes.
Iowa will compete again next Saturday in Columbus, OH, at the Kepler Intercollegiate.
