The Iowa field hockey team plays Boston University and Providence in Providence, RI this weekend. The games are going to be a bit more special for two of the Hawkeyes.
When Iowa (3-4) takes the field Saturday against Boston University (2-3), freshman Tricia Dean will be sharing the same field as her sister Laura. Tricia has started all seven games for the Hawkeyes this season at midfield. She scored one goal in a 5-1 win over Kent State earlier this year.
Laura, a junior, has started five games at back for Boston. She has not accumulated any statistics.
The Hawkeyes will be taking on No. 16 Providence (7-0) Sunday. Junior Kadi Sickel will be competing against her sister Lauren. Kadi has started all seven games for the Hawkeyes while scoring one goal this season. Lauren is a senior for the Friars. She has four goals and two assists on the year.
Last year the Hawkeyes beat the Friars 5-0.
