CORAL GABLES, FL – The Iowa women’s tennis team completed its final day of fall competition today, completing day three at the Miami Hurricane Fall Invitational. Iowa players won three singles matches.
Mili Veselinovic, ranked 57th in preseason rankings, defeated Egle Patrauskaite of Florida International, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2, while Kelcie Klockenga defeated Danielle Simone of Florida Atlantic, 7-5, 6-1. Merel Beelen was also successful today, defeating Kathryn Gerber of Clemson, 6-2, 6-1.
Iowa concludes its fall season, and will return to action in January. The Hawkeyes will begin the spring season at home, January 19-21, hosting the Hawkeye Invitational.
