Tickets remain for Iowa’s men’s basketball game Thursday against Michigan State, but very limited tickets remain for Iowa’s weekend home games during the Big Ten Conference season.

Iowa (8-6) opens conference play against the 24th-ranked Spartans in Carver-Hawkeye Arena Thursday (8 p.m., ESPN), seeking its 10th straight home win in Big Ten play. Nearly 3,500 tickets remain.

Tickets are ($25 general public, $15 students) and may be purchased at the UI Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tickets may also be secured by calling 1-800-IA-Hawks or by visiting the UI athletic website at hawkeyesports.com.

Four of Iowa’s eight Big Ten home games in 2007 are weekend games, and tickets to those games are scarce. Single game tickets for the home finale vs. Illinois (Mar. 3) will be available to contributors to the National I-Club on Monday, Jan. 8 and available to the general public, if available, Thursday, Jan. 11.

Single seats only remain for games vs. Wisconsin (Jan. 28) and Indiana (Feb. 3), while limited pairs remain for the Jan. 13 contest vs. Minnesota.

Tickets also remain for weekday games vs. Penn State (Jan. 24), Northwestern (Feb. 14) and Purdue (Feb. 21). General Public tickets for those games are $20.

Following Thursday’s home game with Michigan State, Iowa plays at Illinois Jan. 10. The Hawkeyes return home to host Minnesota Saturday, Jan. 13.
