The Iowa women’s gymnastics team has moved up in national rankings. The GymHawks, now ranked 28th, have an average score of 192.525 which is also the high score of the season, earned last week against LSU.
Individually, sophomore Kara Pinjuv is ranked 11th on floor exercise with a 9.875 average while Jenifer Simbhudas is 21st on floor exercise, posting an average of 9.850. In the all-around, Simbhudas is ranked 26th (39.0) while Pinjuv is 59th (38.4).
The Hawkeyes travel to North Carolina State, Sunday, to compete with Georgia and Ohio State. North Carolina State is currently ranked 30th with an average of 192.075, while Georgia is ranked 2nd, averaging 196.675 and Ohio State is 24th with a 193.625 average.
Sunday’s competition will take place at Reynold’s Coliseum and is set to begin at 1 p.m. (CST)
