IOWA CITY – University of Iowa senior Adam Haluska has been named a National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District selection. Haluska is now eligible for the NABC All-American team.
Haluska was named to the District 12 first team after being selected to the second team as a junior. He has started every Iowa game over the past three seasons and all 127 games in his college career. He has scored 1,827 career points, including 1,543 while at Iowa to rank eighth in career scoring. He leads the Big Ten Conference in scoring (20.8) and ranks 19th nationally in both scoring and free throw percentage.
He has twice been named Big Ten Player of the Week this season and was named by The Sporting News as the national Player of the Week after leading Iowa to key wins over Michigan and Indiana.
Earlier this week, Haluska became Iowa’s first men’s basketball player to be named Academic All-American of the Year by CoSIDA.
Haluska is also one of 10 finalists for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award and he is one of 30 remaining candidates for the Naismith Award
