THIS WEEK — The University of Iowa men’s golf team will travel to Howey In The Hills, FL, to compete in the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational. Competition will begin with an 8 a.m. (EST) shotgun start both days. Play will consist of 36 holes Saturday and 18 holes Sunday.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION — Xavier University will be hosting the Mission Inn Collegiate Invitational. Lamar University is the defending champion. Competition will be played on the par-72, 6,923-yard El Campeon Golf Course.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS — Along with Iowa, there will be 17 participating teams: Akron, Charleston Southern, Eastern Michigan, George Mason, Iowa State, Liberty, Louisville, Marquette, Marshall, Missouri, North Carolina-Greenboro, Ohio, Old Dominion, Rhode Island, Wichita State and Xavier.

LAST TIME OUT — The Hawkeyes finished 14th at the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate. Senior Jon Feldick led the Hawkeyes with a three-round total of 226 and a 10th place finish. Junior Dan Holterhaus carded a 239 and ended the tournament tied for 54th. Junior Scot Glasford finished tied for 63rd with a score of 244. Sophomore Cole Peevler posted a score of 246 and finished tied for 66th. Junior Adam Miller rounded out the Hawkeye delegation with a score of 248 and a 73rd place finish.

HEAD COACH Terry Anderson — Anderson is in his 14th year as Iowa’s head coach. Anderson was a four-year letterman at Iowa State. He also serves as the Director of Golf at Iowa’s Finkbine Golf Course. He was named the PGA Golf Professional of the Year for the Iowa PGA Section in 1998 and 2004. Anderson is assisted by Adam Kaufman.
